I must have been about 11 or 12 when I was baptised. It was in a small baptist church here in the UK. At that time clothing was more formal, none of the sportswear we have these days.
I was wearing a white shirt and cream coloured chinos.
Many of my friends wore white school shirts and their school trousers. I would love to have done this,but Mother had other ideas and thought I should wear as close to white as I could. I remember the trousers were brought specially for the occasion. I got the use out of them though, even taking them to boys brigade camp where I got to wear them in the sea.
